Bahrain — Visa Overview

About Bahrain

Bahrain is one of the Arabian Gulf's most captivating and historically significant destinations — a small island kingdom of extraordinary contrasts, ancient heritage, and remarkable modernity. The Kingdom of Bahrain — connected to Saudi Arabia by the 25-kilometre King Fahd Causeway — is one of the Gulf's most open, cosmopolitan, and welcoming societies, where ancient Dilmun civilisation, Islamic heritage, and 21st century ambition coexist in perfect harmony.

Manama — Bahrain's dynamic capital — captivates with its stunning modern skyline, the labyrinthine lanes of the Manama Souq, the magnificent Al-Fateh Grand Mosque, and the UNESCO-listed Qal'at al-Bahrain — an ancient fort that served as the capital of the ancient Dilmun civilisation. The Bahrain National Museum offers one of the Gulf's finest collections of archaeological artefacts, while the revitalised Adliya district pulses with world-class restaurants, galleries, and a vibrant arts and culture scene. The Bahrain International Circuit — home to the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix — is one of the world's premier motorsport venues and a spectacular annual highlight for visitors from across the region.

Beyond Manama, Bahrain reveals extraordinary depth — the Tree of Life standing miraculously alive in the middle of a barren desert for over 400 years, the ancient burial mounds of A'ali, the traditional pottery village of A'ali, the stunning Amwaj Islands, and the world-class Hawar Islands resort — a nature reserve of pristine beaches and extraordinary birdlife. Bahrain's culinary scene is among the finest in the Gulf — from legendary machboos and fresh seafood on the Manama corniche to world-class international dining in the award-winning hotels of Seef and Mahooz. Safe, welcoming, affordable, and extraordinarily accessible from Dubai — Bahrain is a destination that rewards every traveller with a genuinely authentic Gulf experience.

What is a Bahrain eVisa?

The Bahrain eVisa is a fully digital travel authorisation issued by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is applied for entirely online through the official Bahrain eVisa portal — evisa.gov.bh — the only official government website for Bahrain visa applications. Upon approval, the applicant receives a unique eVisa PIN by email — no physical sticker is placed in the passport. The eVisa PIN must be presented at Bahrain International Airport or the land border crossing upon arrival.

Important Warning — Official Portal Only:
The official Bahrain eVisa portal is evisa.gov.bh — this is the only legitimate website operated by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. No other website or company operates on behalf of the Government of Bahrain. Travellers are strongly advised to apply exclusively through the official portal. Rayna Tours submits all Bahrain eVisa applications exclusively through evisa.gov.bh.

Is There a Sticker Visa for Bahrain?

No — there is no physical sticker visa for Bahrain for most nationalities. The Bahrain eVisa is fully digital — no sticker is placed in the passport. For nationalities not eligible for the eVisa or Visa on Arrival, a visa must be obtained through the nearest Bahrain Embassy or Consulate before travel — issued as a separate visa document.
