How to Apply — Uganda Visa Assistance by Rayna Tours

At Rayna Tours, we manage your Uganda visa application completely on your behalf — ensuring your application is accurate, complete, and professionally prepared from start to finish.

Step 1 — Share Your Travel Details & Confirm Payment
Provide your country of residence, nationality, intended travel dates, number of applicants, and your preferred visa assistance package. Complete a secure online payment to confirm your booking. A booking confirmation along with your next steps will be sent to your registered email address promptly upon successful payment.

Step 2 — Upload Your Documents via My Booking
Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a secure link to My Booking via email. Visit raynatours.com, navigate to the My Booking section, and upload all required documents using your booking reference number and registered email ID. Our team will review and verify your documents and confirm if anything further is required before proceeding.

Step 3 — Application Completion & Submission
Our visa consultants will confirm the correct visa option — Single Entry eVisa or East Africa Tourist Visa — based on your travel itinerary and passport nationality. The application will be accurately completed and submitted through the official Uganda e-Immigration System — visas.immigration.go.ug — on your behalf, ensuring zero errors or inconsistencies. All documents must be in English — our team will verify this before submission.

Step 4 — Tracking & eVisa Delivery
Our dedicated coordination team will actively monitor the status of your application and keep you informed at every stage. Once approved, your Uganda eVisa approval letter will be sent directly to your registered email address as a PDF document. This approval letter must be printed and presented at the Ugandan port of entry — at the immigration counter, the officer will take your fingerprints, capture a digital photograph, and stamp the physical visa directly into your passport.

Important Notes

  • UAE Nationals: UAE nationals are fully visa-exempt — effective 10 February 2026 — and do not require any visa or eVisa application to enter Uganda. Standard entry requirements still apply — valid passport and proof of onward or return travel.
  • Yellow Fever Certificate — Mandatory for ALL travellers: A valid International Certificate of Vaccination (ICV) against Yellow Fever must be presented at check-in and at Entebbe immigration without exception. Airlines including Emirates, Flydubai, and Qatar Airways will deny boarding without a valid ICV — even if the eVisa has been approved. Ensure this is in order well before travel.
  • Gorilla & Chimpanzee Trekking Permits: Permits must be booked separately through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) — in addition to the visa. Peak season permits should be booked 6 to 12 months in advance.
  • Applicants must travel within 90 days of visa approval — the approval authorisation is automatically cancelled after 90 days and a new application must be submitted.
  • Standard processing takes 3 to 5 working days — urgent processing is available at additional charges. Rayna Tours will advise on the applicable option based on your travel timeline.
  • All Uganda eVisa application fees and Rayna Tours service fees are strictly non-refundable once the application has been initiated — regardless of the outcome.

Important Notice
Visa approval and permitted stay are determined solely by the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Republic of Uganda. Rayna Tours acts as a professional visa assistance provider only and does not guarantee visa approval or entry into Uganda.

Uganda — Visa Overview

About Uganda

Uganda is one of Africa's most extraordinary and captivating destinations — a landlocked nation in East Africa that richly deserves its celebrated title as the Pearl of Africa. Bestowed by Sir Winston Churchill after his visit in 1907, this title remains entirely fitting today — Uganda is a country of astonishing natural beauty, extraordinary biodiversity, and warm, welcoming people that make it one of the most rewarding travel destinations on the African continent.

Uganda is home to the world's most remarkable primate encounter — mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas live among ancient rainforests of breathtaking density. Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park — the primate capital of the world — offers another extraordinary wildlife encounter, alongside golden monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and over 375 bird species. Queen Elizabeth National Park enchants with its iconic tree-climbing lions, vast herds of buffalo, hippo-filled channels, and the dramatic Kazinga Channel cruise. Murchison Falls National Park — home to the world's most powerful waterfall — offers unforgettable game drives, Nile cruises, and the rare opportunity to spot the prehistoric shoebill stork.

The source of the Nile at Jinja — one of the world's most storied rivers — draws adventurers for white-water rafting, kayaking, and bungee jumping over the rushing waters. Lake Victoria — Africa's largest lake and the world's largest tropical freshwater lake — offers fishing, island-hopping, and spectacular sunsets. Kampala — Uganda's vibrant and rapidly growing capital — pulses with energy, culture, music, and some of East Africa's finest cuisine. Safe, increasingly accessible, and extraordinarily rich in wildlife and natural heritage, Uganda is an authentic and deeply rewarding African adventure destination.

What is a Uganda eVisa?

The Uganda eVisa is a fully digital pre-approval authorisation issued by the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Republic of Uganda. It is applied for entirely online through the official Uganda e-Immigration System — visas.immigration.go.ug — before travel. Upon approval, the eVisa is issued as a PDF document — must be printed and presented at the Ugandan port of entry. At the immigration counter, the officer takes fingerprints, captures a digital photograph, and stamps the physical visa directly into the passport. The Uganda eVisa is therefore a pre-approval that results in a physical stamp in the passport upon entry — it is not a purely digital visa.

Do You Need a Uganda Visa? — UAE, India & KSA

UAE Nationals — Visa Exempt: UAE nationals holding an Emirati passport — including holders of diplomatic, special, ordinary, and service passports — are fully visa-exempt and may enter Uganda without any visa or application required. This bilateral visa waiver between Uganda and the UAE came into force on 10 February 2026 following ratification by both governments. UAE nationals may stay in Uganda for up to 90 days. Standard entry requirements continue to apply — including a valid passport and proof of onward or return travel.

UAE Residents of Other Nationalities: The visa requirement is determined entirely by the passport held — not by UAE residency status. UAE residents holding Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, or other non-exempt nationality passports must apply for a Uganda eVisa through the official portal before travel. UAE residency status does not grant any visa exemption or special entry privilege beyond the applicant's own passport nationality.

KSA Nationals & Residents: Saudi Arabian nationals are not on Uganda's visa-exempt list and must apply for a Uganda eVisa through the official portal before travel. KSA residents of other nationalities must also apply based on their passport nationality.

Indian Nationals: India is not on Uganda's visa-exempt list — Indian nationals must apply for a Uganda eVisa through the official portal before travel. Holders of Indian Diplomatic, Official, or Service Passports — however — are exempt from the visa requirement for stays up to 90 days.
