What is an Indonesia eVisa?

The Indonesia eVisa is a fully digital visa issued by the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia — Ministry of Immigration and Corrections. It is applied for entirely online through the official Indonesian Immigration e-Visa portal — evisa.imigrasi.go.id — and is electronically linked to the applicant's passport upon approval. There is no physical sticker visa for tourist and business purposes — the eVisa is the only applicable route for Rayna's three markets.

Do You Need an Indonesia Visa? — UAE, India & KSA

UAE Nationals & Residents: UAE nationals and most residents are eligible for the B1 eVOA — the fastest and simplest route, applied for entirely online. The applicable visa category for UAE residents is determined solely by the passport nationality held — Rayna Tours will confirm the correct category at the time of enquiry.

KSA Nationals & Residents: Saudi Arabian nationals and most residents are eligible for the B1 eVOA. The applicable visa category for KSA residents is determined solely by the passport nationality held — Rayna Tours will confirm the correct category at the time of enquiry.

Indian Nationals: Indian nationals are eligible for the B1 eVOA — applied for entirely online through the official portal.

Three Visa Categories — Tourism & Business

Indonesia's visa classification system was updated in January 2024, introducing new visa index categories. For tourism and business purposes, three categories are applicable across Rayna's three markets — the applicable category is determined entirely by the applicant's passport nationality:

Category 1 — B1 eVOA (Electronic Visa on Arrival) Applicable to eligible nationalities from UAE, KSA, and India

The B1 eVOA is the standard visitor visa for eligible nationalities — covering tourism, family visits, and short-term business activities. Applied for entirely online — no guarantor, no embassy visit, no passport submission required at any stage.

• Validity: 90 days from date of issue — must enter Indonesia within this period
• Permitted Stay: Up to 30 days from date of entry
• Extension: One extension of 30 days permitted — maximum total stay 60 days
• Entries: Single entry

Category 2 — C1 Visit Visa Applicable to nationalities not eligible for the B1 eVOA

The C1 Visit Visa — formerly known as B211A — allows a longer initial stay and is applied for through the same official e-Visa portal. It requires additional supporting documentation including proof of sufficient financial means. No guarantor is required.

• Validity: 90 days from date of issue — must enter Indonesia within this period
• Permitted Stay: Up to 60 days from date of entry
• Extension: Extendable — maximum total stay of up to 180 days
• Entries: Single entry
• Minimum Bank Balance: USD 2,000 or equivalent for the last 3 months — mandatory

Category 3 — Guarantor Visa (Calling Visa) Applicable to high-risk nationalities as classified by Indonesian Immigration

Certain nationalities are classified by Indonesian Immigration as requiring a Guarantor Visa. These applicants cannot submit their visa application independently through the official portal. The application must be submitted through an authorised Indonesian guarantor — either a registered Indonesian citizen or a registered Indonesian corporation — who takes legal and financial responsibility for the applicant during their stay in Indonesia. Rayna Tours will advise applicants from such nationalities on the correct process and available options at the time of enquiry.

Permitted Activities — Tourism & Business

Tourism: Sightseeing, leisure travel, visiting family or friends, transit, cultural exploration, and recreational activities.

Business: Attending meetings, discussions, negotiations, and signing agreements. Site visits to offices, factories, production sites, and mines. Attending MICE events — Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions — as a participant. Medical treatment at healthcare facilities.

NOT permitted on any visitor visa:

• Paid employment or receiving any salary or wages from Indonesian individuals or companies
• Selling goods or services directly to the public
• Attending events as a speaker or performer
• Any profit-making activity within Indonesia

Important — All Indonesia Arrival Card (Mandatory)

All international travellers entering Indonesia — regardless of visa type — must complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card digitally before arrival. This is mandatory, separate from the visa, and completely free of charge. It must be submitted at allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id strictly within 3 days before arrival. Failure to submit may result in delays at immigration.

Bali Tourist Levy: Travellers landing in Bali are subject to a regional cultural preservation tax — payable separately and applicable to all international visitors.

Processing Time

Processing typically takes 3 to 5 working days from the date of application submission for both the B1 eVOA and C1 Visit Visa. Applicants are advised to apply well in advance of their intended travel date.
