How to Apply — China Visa Assistance by Rayna Tours

At Rayna Tours, we simplify the China visa application process end-to-end through our signature My Booking platform. Since Rayna submits the application and passport directly at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre on your behalf, you do not need to personally visit the visa center at any stage of the process.

Step 1 — Share Your Travel Details & Confirm Payment

Provide us with your country of residence, nationality, intended travel dates, number of applicants, and your preferred visa assistance package. Complete a secure online payment to confirm your booking. A booking confirmation along with your next steps will be sent to your registered email address promptly upon successful payment.

Step 2 — Upload Your Documents via My Booking

Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a secure link to My Booking via email. Simply visit raynatours.com, navigate to the My Booking section, and upload your documents using your booking reference number and registered email ID. Our team will review and verify your documents online and confirm if anything further is required.

Step 3 — Visit the Rayna Office to Submit Your Original Passport

Once your documents are reviewed and approved through My Booking, visit your nearest Rayna Tours office in person to submit your original passport. Since China requires the original passport to be physically submitted at the Visa Application Service Centre, this is the only step that requires an in-person visit — and only to a Rayna office, never the visa center itself.

Step 4 — Application Review & Form Completion

Our visa consultants will accurately complete the China visa application form online on your behalf, based on the information and documents submitted through My Booking. Any gaps or discrepancies identified will be communicated to you promptly for resolution before submission.

Step 5 — Submission at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre

Once your application is fully prepared, Rayna Tours will submit your application, original passport, and all supporting documents directly at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre on your behalf — there is no need for you to attend in person at any stage.

Step 6 — Visa Decision & Passport Return

Once a decision is made, Rayna Tours will collect your processed passport from the Visa Application Service Centre. If approved, the visa will be affixed directly into your passport, which will then be returned to you by Rayna Tours.

Important Notice

Visa approval, validity, permitted duration of stay, and processing timelines are determined solely by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate. Rayna Tours acts exclusively as a professional visa assistance provider and has no influence over any decision made by the issuing authority. Submission of a complete and accurate application does not guarantee visa approval or entry into China.

China — Visa Overview

About China

China is a nation where ancient history and modern innovation exist side by side in remarkable harmony. From the legendary Great Wall and the imperial grandeur of the Forbidden City in Beijing, to the futuristic skyline of Shanghai and the timeless beauty of its traditional water towns, China offers travellers an extraordinary blend of heritage and progress. Whether exploring world-renowned landmarks, experiencing vibrant city life, or visiting family, China is a destination of remarkable depth and diversity.

Saudi Arabian Nationals: Individuals holding a Saudi Arabian passport are currently eligible for visa-free entry into China for up to 30 days, for business, tourism, family visits, or transit, under China's unilateral visa exemption policy. This exemption is based strictly on holding a Saudi passport — it does not apply to expatriates or residents of Saudi Arabia who hold a different nationality's passport. An expatriate residing in Saudi Arabia on a Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Nigerian, Palestinian, or any other non-Saudi passport remains subject to the visa requirements of their own nationality, and in most cases will still require a Chinese visa.

UAE Nationals & Residents: Individuals holding a UAE passport, as well as expatriates and residents in the UAE holding other nationalities, are required to obtain a visa before travelling to China — except for the limited number of other nationalities that may separately appear on China's visa-free list in their own right. A valid Chinese visa must be obtained in advance through the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre.

India Nationals: Indian nationals are required to obtain a visa before travelling to China. Applications can be submitted through the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in New Delhi, Mumbai, or Kolkata, depending on the applicant's place of residence and consular jurisdiction.

Important — No e-Visa Available: Unlike countries such as the UK, USA, and India, China does not currently offer an electronic visa (e-Visa) to the general public for any nationality. All visa applications from the UAE and India must be submitted as a physical application through the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre.

Visa Categories — In Simple Terms

Tourist Visa — for sightseeing, leisure travel, and visiting friends or family.

Business Visa — for business meetings, trade activities, and commercial engagements.

Family Visit Visa — for visiting immediate family members who are Chinese citizens or hold permanent residence status in China.

Can a Travel or Visa Company Apply on Your Behalf?

Yes. Rayna Tours can submit the application and the original passport on the applicant's behalf at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre — there is no need for the applicant to personally visit the centre. Both the applicant's and Rayna's representative's passport — original and photocopy — are provided as part of the submission. This allows Rayna Tours to manage the complete application, submission, and collection process on behalf of the client, end-to-end.

Invitation Letter Requirements — Tourist & Business

For Tourist Visa Applicants: If you already have confirmed round-trip flight tickets and a hotel booking, no invitation letter is required. If these are not available, a standard invitation letter from a person or organisation in China can be submitted instead, along with a photocopy of the inviting individual's identification or residence permit. This applies equally whether travelling alone or with family — no special government-authenticated letter is required for tourism.

For Business Visa Applicants — First-Time Visit: A government-authenticated invitation letter — known as the TE Invitation Letter — or a Verification Letter of Invitation, is mandatory. It must be issued by the company or organisation in China that is inviting the applicant and carries a unique barcode or QR code that is verified directly against official Chinese government records, ensuring it cannot be forged or reused.

For Business Visa Applicants — Repeat Visit: The TE Invitation Letter is not required. Instead, the applicant's previous Chinese visa, along with a standard invitation letter from their Chinese business contact or trade partner, is generally sufficient.

Important: This requirement is determined by visa type — tourist or business — and, for business applicants, by whether it is a first-time visit. It is not based on the applicant's nationality. The invitation letter must be arranged directly by the applicant through their host, business contact, or organisation in China — it cannot be issued by Rayna Tours, though our team will guide applicants on the correct format and requirements.

Visa Validity, Entries & Permitted Stay

The validity, number of entries, and permitted duration of stay are determined solely by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate, based on the specific circumstances of each applicant. As a general guide, the length of stay per visit is typically approved for 30 to 90 days, though this varies case by case and remains entirely at the discretion of the consular officer.

Application Process

  1. Complete the online visa application form and upload all required documents through the official visa application portal.
  2. Await preliminary online review of the submitted application.
  3. Once approved online, print the Visa Application Certificate and the signed application form.
  4. Submit the original passport and all required documents at the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre — through Rayna Tours as an authorised representative.
  5. Collect the passport with the visa affixed once processing is complete, either in person or through Rayna Tours presenting the original Pick-up Form.

Processing Time

Standard processing is generally completed within 4 working days from the date the passport is submitted at the Visa Centre. Express service is available at select centres, typically reducing processing to 3 working days, for an additional fee. Processing times may vary depending on the applicant's profile and the volume of applications at the time.

All visa decisions — including approval, refusal, validity, number of entries, and permitted duration of stay — rest solely with the Chinese Embassy or Consulate.
