The Langkawi SkyCab cable car carries you to the crest of Gunung Machinchang, reported to be among the steepest cable car routes in the world. Along the way you get views of the Andaman Sea, the surrounding rainforest and the mountain range, with the ride to the top taking around 15 minutes.

At the summit, you can add a walk across the SkyBridge, a curved pedestrian bridge suspended around 100 meters above the forest floor, or choose between gondola types for the ride itself. The Glass Gondola has a transparent floor panel for looking straight down as you travel, while the 360 Gondola is open-sided for unobstructed views in every direction. Both gondola upgrades include Express Lane access, which lets you board without waiting in the standard queue.

  1. Receive your tour confirmation voucher by email shortly after booking.

  • Children aged 0 to 2 years enter free of charge.
  • Children aged 13 and above are charged the same rate as adults.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Smoking and drinking are not permitted; staff can ask you to leave if you are caught doing either.

  • The cable car operates daily from 9:30 am to 6 pm.
