What is a Tajikistan eVisa?

The Tajikistan eVisa is a fully digital travel authorisation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan — applied for entirely online through the official Tajikistan eVisa portal — evisa.tj — and delivered electronically to the applicant's registered email address upon approval. The approved eVisa must be printed and presented alongside the valid passport at the Tajikistan port of entry. No embassy visit is required.

Important — GBAO Permit:
Travel to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) — which includes the Pamir Highway · Wakhan Valley · and all eastern Tajikistan — requires a separate GBAO Permit in addition to the standard eVisa. The GBAO Permit can be applied for simultaneously with the eVisa through the official evisa.tj portal at a small additional fee. Travellers planning to visit the Pamirs must ensure they have the GBAO Permit — failure to carry it may result in fines or refusal of entry into the GBAO region.

The official Tajikistan eVisa portal is evisa.tj — operated exclusively by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. Rayna Tours submits all Tajikistan eVisa applications exclusively through this official government portal.

Three Entry Routes — Tajikistan

Route 1 — Visa Free (UAE & KSA Nationals):
UAE nationals and Saudi Arabian nationals may enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days — confirmed from the official Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan. No application · no eVisa · and no fee required. Enter on valid UAE passport or Saudi passport.

Route 2 — eVisa (Online Application):
All other nationalities — including Indian nationals — must apply for the Tajikistan eVisa online through evisa.tj before travel. Available as single entry with a maximum stay of 30 to 60 days and a validity of 90 days from date of issue.

Route 3 — eVisa + GBAO Permit:
For travellers planning to visit the Pamir region — GBAO Permit must be applied for simultaneously with the eVisa through evisa.tj.

UAE Nationals — Visa Free:
UAE nationals enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days. No application required.

UAE Residents of Other Nationalities — eVisa Required:
Determined by passport held — not UAE residency. Indian · Pakistani · Bangladeshi · and most other UAE residents must apply for the Tajikistan eVisa through evisa.tj.

KSA Nationals — Visa Free:
Saudi Arabian nationals enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days. No application required.

KSA Residents of Other Nationalities — eVisa Required:
Determined by passport held — must apply for the Tajikistan eVisa through evisa.tj.

Indian Nationals — eVisa Required:
Indian nationals must apply for the Tajikistan eVisa online through evisa.tj before travel.
