How to Apply — Norway Visa Assistance by Rayna Tours

At Rayna Tours, we provide complete professional guidance and document preparation support for your Norway Schengen Visa application — ensuring every document is accurate, complete, and fully compliant with Norwegian Embassy and UDI requirements before you visit VFS Global.

Important — Norway Embassy Advisory:
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi does not co-operate with any visa agents in the UAE or KSA. The official submission partner of Norway is VFS Global only. Rayna Tours provides professional document preparation and guidance support — all applications are submitted by the applicant in person at the designated VFS Global Visa Application Centre. Possession of a complete and accurate application file significantly strengthens the chances of a smooth and timely outcome.

Step 1 — Share Your Travel Details & Confirm Payment
Provide your country of residence, nationality, intended travel dates, number of applicants, and your preferred visa assistance package. Complete a secure online payment to confirm your booking. A booking confirmation along with your next steps will be sent to your registered email address promptly upon successful payment.

Step 2 — Upload Your Documents via My Booking
Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a secure link to My Booking via email. Visit raynatours.com, navigate to the My Booking section, and upload all required documents using your booking reference number and registered email ID. Our team will thoroughly review and verify your complete document file — confirming accuracy and compliance with Norwegian Embassy and UDI requirements — before advising you to proceed to VFS Global.

Step 3 — Application Preparation & VFS Appointment Guidance
Our visa consultants will prepare your complete Norway Schengen Visa application file — tailored to your specific nationality, employment status, country of residence, and purpose of travel.

For UAE Residents:
Our team will prepare your complete document file for submission at the nearest VFS Global UAE Visa Application Centre — and guide you on booking your mandatory VFS appointment. Applications are forwarded from VFS Global to the Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and thereafter to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) for processing.

For KSA Residents:
Our team will prepare your complete document file for submission at the nearest VFS Global Saudi Arabia Visa Application Centre — and guide you on booking your mandatory VFS appointment. KSA applications are processed through the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

For Indian Nationals:
Our team will prepare your complete document file for submission at the nearest VFS Global India Visa Application Centre — and guide you on booking your mandatory VFS appointment. All applications are forwarded to the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi for processing and onward to UDI. Apply at least 6 weeks before the intended travel date — standard processing is 15 working days and may extend to 45 working days during peak season.

For UAE Nationals — Visa Free:
UAE nationals are fully visa-exempt for the Schengen Area — no visa, no application, and no VFS visit required. Our team will advise on all entry requirements including financial proof, return ticket, and the forthcoming ETIAS pre-travel registration — and ensure you are fully prepared for arrival in Norway.

Step 4 — VFS Submission — In Person
On the day of your VFS appointment, visit the VFS Global Visa Application Centre with your complete original document file as prepared by Rayna Tours. Biometric data — fingerprints and photograph — will be collected at the centre. Your passport will be retained by VFS Global for the duration of processing and returned to you once a decision has been made.

Step 5 — Tracking & Visa Delivery
Our dedicated coordination team will keep you informed at every stage of the process. Once a decision is made, VFS Global will contact you for passport collection. Our team will advise you on the visa conditions — validity period, number of entries, permitted stay, and the 90/180-day Schengen rule — before your departure.

Important Notes

  • Processing Time: Standard processing is up to 15 calendar days from the date the Embassy receives the application — not from the date of VFS submission. Allow an additional 7 to 10 days for the application to travel between VFS and the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. During peak seasons or UDI referrals, processing may take up to 45 calendar days. Apply well in advance.
  • Minimum Application Timeline: Applications must be submitted at least 15 days before the planned travel date — and can be submitted up to 6 months in advance.
  • Financial Proof: Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of NOK 500 per day for the entire duration of stay in the Schengen Area. If the applicant cannot demonstrate sufficient funds personally, a financial guarantee from the host in Norway is required.
  • Schengen Travel Insurance: Minimum EUR 30,000 medical coverage — valid for the entire Schengen Area for the full duration of stay — mandatory for all applicants.
  • KSA Applicants: Saudi Arabian re-entry visa valid beyond the intended departure date from the Schengen Area is mandatory — without this the application will be incomplete.
  • Multiple Entry Visa: A multiple entry visa is only issued when the need is documented under the Schengen Visa Code — prior travel history and documented future travel plans are the key criteria.
  • All Norway Schengen Visa fees and Rayna Tours service fees are strictly non-refundable once submitted — regardless of the outcome.

Norway — Visa Overview

About Norway

Norway is one of the world's most breathtakingly beautiful and genuinely awe-inspiring destinations — a long, dramatic country stretching from the temperate forests and fjords of the south to the wild Arctic landscapes of the far north, where the midnight sun blazes in summer and the Northern Lights dance across the winter sky in colours that no photograph has ever fully captured. As one of Scandinavia's crown jewels and a proud member of the Schengen Area, Norway offers the international traveller not only its own extraordinary natural and cultural wonders but also seamless access to 28 other European nations on the strength of a single visa.

Norway's most iconic feature — the fjords — are among the most spectacular natural formations on earth. The UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord and NƦrĆøyfjord — sheer granite walls rising hundreds of metres from mirror-still waters, punctuated by tumbling waterfalls and tiny isolated farmsteads clinging impossibly to clifftops — represent nature at its most dramatic and sublime. The Sognefjord — the longest and deepest fjord in Norway — stretches over 200 kilometres into the heart of the country, flanked by snow-capped mountains and villages of extraordinary beauty. The Lofoten Islands — an archipelago of jagged mountain peaks rising dramatically from the Arctic Ocean above the Arctic Circle — are widely regarded as one of the most photogenic landscapes in the entire world, drawing photographers, hikers, and travellers from across the globe to their tiny red fishing villages, pristine beaches, and extraordinary wildlife.

Bergen — Norway's vibrant second city and gateway to the fjords — enchants with its colourful wooden Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its celebrated fish market, and its extraordinary position surrounded by seven mountains. Oslo — the Norwegian capital — is a sophisticated, dynamic, and endlessly fascinating city of world-class museums — including the National Museum housing Edvard Munch's The Scream — the extraordinary Viking Ship Museum, the Opera House rising like a glacier from the Oslo Fjord, and one of Scandinavia's finest dining scenes. TromsĆø — the gateway to the Arctic and the world's premier destination for Northern Lights experiences — offers dog sledding, reindeer safaris, snowmobile expeditions, and the extraordinary phenomenon of the polar night in winter and the midnight sun in summer.

The Preikestolen — or Pulpit Rock — rising 604 metres above the Lysefjord is one of Norway's most visited and most spectacular viewpoints — a flat-topped cliff offering views of breathtaking drama. The UNESCO-listed Bryggen, the FlĆ„m Railway — ranked among the world's most scenic train journeys — and the extraordinary Hardangervidda mountain plateau, the largest mountain plateau in Northern Europe, complete a travel experience of extraordinary breadth and depth. Norway is a destination of unmatched natural beauty, extraordinary outdoor adventure, and a profound connection between people and landscape — a country where every traveller finds something that changes them.

What is a Norway Schengen Visa?

Norway is a member of the Schengen Area — a unified travel zone comprising 29 countries across Europe — despite not being a member of the European Union. A Norway Schengen Visitor Visa (C-Visa) is an official travel authorisation issued by the Royal Norwegian Embassy or processed through the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) — permitting the holder to enter and stay in Norway and to travel freely across all other Schengen member nations for the duration of the permitted stay.

The Norway Schengen Visitor Visa is applied for in person at the authorised VFS Global Visa Application Centre in the applicant's country of residence — following a mandatory appointment booking. There is no eVisa system for the Norway Schengen Visa — all applications require in-person submission with biometric collection.

Important Notice — Norwegian Embassy Stance on Visa Agents: The Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi does not co-operate with any visa agents in the UAE. The official partner of Norway is VFS Global. Applicants are strongly advised not to deal with visa agents, as they often charge high fees, offer false information, and in some cases have been found to compromise the overall credibility of an application. Rayna Tours provides professional document preparation and guidance support only — all applications are submitted by the applicant in person at VFS Global.

Submission Centres — Rayna's Three Markets

UAE Market: The Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi is a regional hub responsible for visas for the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen. All UAE and KSA applicants submit through VFS Global UAE — with applications then forwarded to the Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi for processing.

KSA Market: KSA applicants submit through VFS Global Saudi Arabia — applications are forwarded to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi for processing, as confirmed from the official norwegian embassy website — norway.no.

India Market: All applications must be submitted in person at one of the local VFS Global application centres in India. Appointment booking is mandatory. Applications are forwarded to the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi for processing and onward to UDI.

Do You Need a Norway Visa? — UAE, India & KSA

UAE Nationals — Visa Free: UAE nationals holding an Emirati passport are fully visa-exempt for the Schengen Area — they may enter Norway and travel across the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without any visa or application.

Important — ETIAS for UAE Nationals: UAE nationals will be required to register through the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) — a pre-travel electronic authorisation — before entering the Schengen Area. ETIAS registration is a straightforward online process and is distinct from a Schengen visa. It is not yet fully operational as of July 2026 — Rayna Tours will advise UAE nationals on the ETIAS requirement as soon as it is activated.

UAE Residents of Other Nationalities: Visa eligibility is determined by the passport held — not UAE residency status. UAE residents holding passports of non-exempt nationalities — including Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Filipino, Sri Lankan, and others — require a full Norway Schengen Visitor Visa submitted through VFS Global UAE.

KSA Nationals — Visa Required: Citizens of Saudi Arabia must apply for a visitor's visa. KSA nationals apply through VFS Global Saudi Arabia — with applications forwarded to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

KSA Residents of Other Nationalities: All KSA residents holding non-exempt nationality passports must apply through VFS Global Saudi Arabia. A copy of the Saudi Arabian re-entry visa valid beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen Area is mandatory for all KSA-based applicants.

Indian Nationals: Indian nationals require a full Norway Schengen Visitor Visa — applied for in person at the nearest VFS Global centre in India. Case processing time is usually 15 working days from the date of receipt of application at the Embassy. During high season or surges, cases may take longer to process. In special circumstances it can take up to 45 working days.

Entry Summary — Rayna's Three Markets

Visa Entry Types

  • Single Entry: One entry into the Schengen Area — once you exit, the visa is no longer valid.
  • Double Entry: Two entries into the Schengen Area within the visa validity period.
  • Multiple Entry: Multiple-entry visas allow the holder to travel repeatedly to the Schengen Area during the period of validity — with validity from 1 to 5 years. Even with a multiple-entry visa, the applicant cannot stay in the Schengen Area more than 90 days within any 180-day period.

Permitted Activities

  • Tourism, sightseeing, leisure travel, outdoor adventure, and recreational activities
  • Visiting family or friends in Norway or any Schengen country
  • Business meetings, conferences, and trade activities — short term
  • Cultural, academic, and sporting events

Not Permitted:

  • Paid employment — a separate Norwegian work permit and residence permit required
  • Long-term study beyond 90 days — a separate study permit required
  • Any activity inconsistent with the declared purpose of visit

The 90/180-Day Rule — Important The 90-day permitted stay applies across the entire Schengen Area combined — not per country. Travellers must carefully count their days across all Schengen member states within any rolling 180-day period. Exceeding 90 days — even by one day — is a serious immigration violation.

Important Entry Requirements

  • Passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen Area — issued within the last 10 years — minimum 2 blank pages. 6 months validity strongly recommended.
  • Schengen travel insurance mandatory — minimum EUR 30,000 medical coverage — valid across the entire Schengen Area for the full duration of stay.
  • Proof of sufficient funds: at least NOK 500 per day during the stay in Norway and the Schengen Area. If the applicant does not have enough funds personally, a financial guarantee from the host in Norway is required.
  • UAE Residence Visa or KSA Re-entry Visa must be valid beyond the intended departure date from the Schengen Area — mandatory for all UAE and KSA based applicants.
  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate mandatory for travellers arriving from yellow fever endemic areas.

Processing Time

  • Processing time is normally up to 15 calendar days after the Embassy has received the application. In some cases, applications are sent to the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and the processing time may be up to 45 calendar days. Note: It can take 7 to 10 days for the application to travel between the VFS office and the Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
  • Applications can be submitted up to 6 months before the intended travel date — and must be submitted at least 15 days before the planned travel date.
