As the tour begins with a convenient hotel pick-up, head straight to experience the imposing majesty of Wat Phra Yai, famously known as the Temple of the Big Buddha. See the colossal 18-meter-high golden image of Lord Buddha, perched atop the lush Pratamnak Hill and visible from afar. Reaching the temple involves climbing a series of long yet easy steps, flanked by ornate guardrails with intricately designed seven-hooded golden snakes emerging from dragon mouths. The climb treats you with stunning views as you approach this hilltop sanctuary.

Culture, Serenity & Timeless Traditions

Beyond the giant seated Buddha, the temple complex houses seven additional images depicting different stages of Lord Buddha’s divine enlightenment. The exquisite blend of natural beauty and traditional offerings adds to its charm. Located nearby is Wang Sam Sien, a peaceful cultural site that displays Chinese art, architecture, and folklore, with its magnificent Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) statue and 24 detailed paintings depicting classic Chinese stories.

• Temples are sacred places; please dress politely. No shorts, sleeveless shirts, low-cut tops, flip flops. A hat/cap and an umbrella may be helpful. 
• Cameras may not be used on the temple premises. Wear comfortable walking shoes that are easy to put on and take off. 
• Guests who miss the morning pick-up will need to arrange their transportation and join the tour at the Golden Temple.
• No refund will be provided for no-show cases.
