House of Pearls

House of Pearls is a visit to the Suwaidi Pearl Farm, the world's first Arabian pearl farm, reached by a short traditional boat ride from Al Rams village. The farm was founded by Abdulla Rashed Al Suwaidi, whose family carries generations of pearl diving history.

The boat crosses calm water lined with mangroves before reaching the floating farm at the foot of the Hajjar Mountains. A guide walks you through the farm's displays on pearl cultivation, from traditional diving methods to the science behind seeding oysters today. You watch a live oyster-opening and see how a pearl is removed, then get the chance to open one yourself for a shot at finding a pearl of your own, which you can purchase afterward as a keepsake. The Pearl Museum on site covers more of this history, including displays on the Pearl Trader and Captain's Chest Box.

The farm runs on solar power, and there is a small boutique gift shop for browsing once the tour ends. Rayna Tours' local team handles your booking and support for the visit.

3. Reach the Al Rams village jetty at your selected time slot for boat departure to the farm.

• Carry a valid ID or passport.
• A minimum of two guests is required per booking.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Wear modest, comfortable clothing; loose dresses, skirts, flip-flops and long, loose scarves are not suitable for the boat ride and farm visit.
• Bring sunscreen for daytime visits and insect repellent for evening tours.
• There is no refund for unused or partially used services.
• Outside food and beverages may not be allowed inside the premises.
• No hotel transfer is included; guests make their own way to the Al Rams village departure point.
