Kuala Lumpur Bird Park sits inside the Perdana Botanical Gardens and is billed as the world's largest free-flight walk-in aviary, home to more than 3,000 birds from over 200 species. The park is divided into four zones and opens daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with last admission at 5 pm.
The first two zones are open, free-flight aviaries where birds move around you rather than staying in a fixed enclosure, among them flamingos, parrots, hornbills, and bulbuls. The third and fourth zones use smaller aviaries and cages for species that need more controlled surroundings. Along the way you can watch a bird show and, where sessions run, join a feeding session, both popular with children. Beyond the birds themselves, the park has landscaped gardens, waterfalls, and shaded walkways, so a visit works equally well as a slower walk through greenery as it does as a wildlife stop.
Roundtrip hotel transfer in an air-conditioned vehicle is included from hotels near the Petronas Twin Towers, and Rayna's team sends your driver's details the day before so the visit is easy to plan around the rest of your Kuala Lumpur itinerary.
