Taman Negara Tour with Lata Berkoh Falls and River Expedition

This full day trip takes you to Taman Negara National Park, a 4,343 square kilometre stretch of rainforest in Pahang estimated to be more than 130 million years old, among the oldest tropical rainforests in the world. The day runs about 14 hours with a licensed nature guide and roundtrip transfer included.

A roundtrip transfer collects you in the morning for the drive out to Kuala Tahan, the gateway to the national park. Lunch is included partway through the day, and your guide manages the schedule across the trek, the waterfall stop and the river cruise.

Trekking the rainforest

Once inside the park, you trek through dense rainforest with your licensed nature guide, who points out the flora and fauna along the trail. The forest is home to a wide range of wildlife, and your guide's experience with the trails improves your chances of spotting some of it as you walk.

Lata Berkoh Waterfalls

The trek leads to the Lata Berkoh Waterfalls, where natural rock pools and clear water sit among the surrounding forest. This is a natural point to pause, and many visitors use the time here for photos before continuing on.

Cruising the Tahan River

The day includes a cruise along the Tahan River, a quieter way to take in the rainforest from the water. Two boatmen operate the boat for this stretch of the trip, and the slower pace gives you another chance to spot wildlife along the riverbanks.

The transfer returns you to Kuala Lumpur at the end of the long day out. Rayna Tours' own team arranges the guide and transfer for the trip, giving you a local point of contact from booking through to drop-off back at your hotel.

• Children aged 0 to 6 are not permitted, due to the physical activity involved.
• The tour is not wheelchair accessible, not suitable for pets, and infant seats are unavailable.

• The elevated Canopy Walkway is currently closed until further notice; if it remains closed on your tour date, a partial refund applies.
• No guide accompanies the boat ride at Lata Berkoh Falls, only two boatmen; if the boat is unavailable on your tour date, a partial refund applies.

• There is no equipment rental at the park, so bring your own trekking gear, including comfortable shoes, a change of clothes, rain protection, insect repellent, sunscreen and a water bottle.
