Kuala Lumpur Bird Park with Butterfly Park and Garden Tour

KL Bird Park's open aviaries

The tour begins at KL Bird Park, spread across 21 acres and divided into four zones, three of them large, open aviaries built with rainforest vegetation, lakes and waterfalls that recreate a natural habitat for more than 3000 birds across 200 species. You can walk straight through these open sections as birds move freely overhead and along the paths, giving a close view of the park's free-flying residents.

Next comes KL Butterfly Park, an enclosed sanctuary spread over 80,000 square feet and planted with the trees, shrubs and ferns of a tropical rainforest. More than 5000 live butterflies fly through the park, and you can identify at least 120 species along the walkways as you make your way through the enclosure.

Orchid and Hibiscus Garden

The tour ends with a walk through the Orchid and Hibiscus Garden, part of the wider Perdana Botanical Garden, where pathways wind past a colorful variety of orchid and hibiscus blooms in many different colors, a popular stop for photographs before the day wraps up.
