Play DXB Dubai is a virtual and augmented reality park spread across two levels of Dubai Mall, built around interactive experiences designed for groups, rather than solo headsets. The 7,000-square-meter space holds a range of VR and AR rides, and a visit typically takes a few hours depending on how many games you play.

Burj Drop sits at the centre of the park and puts you through a simulated fall from the top of Burj Khalifa using VR headsets. Other rides lean into familiar Dubai experiences with a twist, such as a VR dune bash and a hot air balloon ride, plus Dubai Drone, which imagines the city in 2050, and Plummet, a simulated skydive without leaving the ground. Fans of film and TV can step into John Wick Chronicles, The Mummy, and The Walking Dead Outbreak, while The Raft offers a multiplayer VR game for groups. Younger visitors have their own attractions to keep them entertained throughout the visit.

• Play DXB is open 10:00 am to 10:00 pm Sunday to Thursday, and 10:00 am to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
• Your pass is valid for one person, for the same day only.
• Each ride can be used once; repeat rides on the same pass are not allowed.
• A digital gate card fee of 5 AED applies at Play DXB and is non-negotiable.
• Ride categories are based on height: visitors over 120 cm are classified as adults and those under 120 cm as children, and each attraction carries its own age, height, and weight restrictions.
• Children must always be accompanied by an adult or guardian; unaccompanied children may be refused entry for safety reasons.
• Arrive 10 to 30 minutes before your scheduled time, depending on your booking.
• Hotel pickup is arranged from your Dubai hotel or residence; pickup from other areas can be arranged on request for an additional charge.
• Last entry is at 10:00 pm.
• Eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed inside the vehicle during any tour that includes a transfer.
