Desert Safari with Dune Bashing in Dubai

Rayna's Desert Safari with Dune Bashing takes you from the city out to the Al Aweer desert for an afternoon and evening that combines 4x4 dune driving, Bedouin-style camp activities and a barbecue dinner under the stars, before your driver returns you to your hotel.

Afternoon pickup (around 3:00 pm)

Your roundtrip hotel transfer is included, with pickup from your Dubai hotel or residence in an air-conditioned vehicle starting around 3:00 pm. Your driver heads out toward Al Aweer, on the edge of the city, where the desert begins.

Dune bashing and a desert sunset

Once you reach the dunes, an experienced driver takes over for a dune bashing run, steering the 4x4 up and down the sand in a controlled, roller-coaster-style drive. The convoy stops partway so you can get out, stretch your legs, watch the sun go down over the dunes and take photos.

Bedouin camp activities

At the desert camp, you can take a short camel ride, get a henna design and try shisha in a Bedouin-style seating area. Guests who want more can add sandboarding or quad biking inside the camp for an extra charge, and can also change into traditional Emirati dress for photos.

BBQ dinner and live entertainment

As the evening sets in, a buffet barbecue dinner is served with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, alongside unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffee. A Tanura performance, a belly dance show and a fire show run through the meal before your driver takes you back to your pickup point.

Rayna's own desert team runs the pickup, the camp and the dinner service, so you can reach them directly before, during or after your trip.

3. Show your voucher, printed or on your phone, to the driver at pickup.

• A hotel transfer is provided from centrally located areas of Dubai city, including Deira, Bur Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Marina.
• If your hotel is outside these zones, Rayna's operations team will coordinate pickup with you directly.
• Dune bashing is not suitable for infants; children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the tour, including at the desert camp.
• Dune bashing is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back problems, since the drive involves sharp turns and bumps over the dunes.
• There is no refund for partly used services.
• Heavy luggage cannot be carried during the tour.
• Pickup and drop-off times can shift by 30 to 60 minutes depending on traffic and your location.
• Eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed inside the vehicle during any tour that includes a transfer.
