Dune bashing and a desert sunset

The afternoon starts with a 4x4 dune bashing ride across the desert's dunes, one of the more thrilling parts of the trip as the vehicle climbs and drops through the sand. Once the drive winds down, there is time for a camel ride and photographs as the sun sets over the dunes, closing out the first half of the trip before the group settles in at the camp.

Evening at the desert camp

The rest of the evening plays out at the camp. Get a henna design, change into traditional Arabic dress for photos, and sit down to a barbecue dinner with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. A shisha corner is on hand for guests who want to use it, separate toilet facilities are available for men and women, and the evening continues with Tanoura and belly dance performances by the fire.

A night under the desert sky

After dinner, tents fitted with sleeping bags are ready for the overnight stay, with tea and coffee available through the night for guests who stay up. Away from the city's lights, the camp is one of the better spots in the UAE to see a clear, star-filled sky, and entertainment winds down late in the evening so guests can settle in to sleep.

Morning brings a desert sunrise and a breakfast of tea and coffee before the drive back into Dubai, with Rayna's own team handling the pickup and drop-off throughout the trip and on hand if anything needs sorting out along the way.
