This ticket covers the ferry crossing from Koh Samui Pier to Maehaad Pier on Koh Tao, the gateway most divers and island-hoppers use to reach Koh Tao's dive sites and quieter beaches. Three sailings run each day, so you can fit the crossing around your onward plans.

Check in ahead of your sailing so the crew can guide you through boarding; the process is organized with clear signage and staff on hand. Onboard, choose the open deck for the air or the air-conditioned cabin, both with cushioned seating, and a few sailings carry light refreshments. Departures run at 8:00 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm, giving you a morning, midday or afternoon option depending on your schedule.

As you near Koh Tao, the water turns a deeper blue and the island's slower pace starts to show even before you dock at Maehaad Pier. Our Rayna team is on hand if you need help with the booking before or after you travel.

  1. Board at Koh Samui Pier

    Make your way to the pier for the sailing you booked; departures run at 08:00, 12:30 and 14:30. Allow an hour between reaching the pier and your departure time. Staff and signage guide you through boarding, and you will need a valid ID or passport. Pets are not carried, and for safety reasons pregnant passengers cannot travel on this service.

  2. The crossing to Koh Tao

    Take the open deck for the air or the air-conditioned cabin, both with cushioned seating, and watch the Gulf of Thailand and the surrounding islands go past. Some sailings carry light refreshments. Departure times can shift with the weather.

  3. Arrive at Maehaad Pier

    Staff are on hand again at Maehaad Pier when you dock on Koh Tao. Onward transport from the pier is not part of this ticket and is arranged on request.

  3. Download the voucher and present it at the pier.

  • Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted onboard the ferry.

  • Your selected time slot is the pickup time from the pier area; allow about 1 hour between your arrival and this pickup time to avoid inconvenience.
