Jetpacking straps you to a water-powered jetpack connected to a high-performance watercraft, propelling you above the Arabian Gulf. The full session lasts 30 minutes and mixes time flying above the surface with dives back into the water, making it one of the more physical water sports on offer in Dubai.

Before you get in the water, the crew briefs you on how the jetpack works and the hand signals you will need during the ride. A speedboat then takes you out into the Arabian Gulf, where a trained operator connects and powers the jetpack while adjusting your harness for balance. Once lifted off, you rise 30 to 40 feet above the water, using the crew's instructions to find your balance before diving back under the surface and coming back up again. Throughout the ride, the coastline and Dubai's skyline stay in view as you alternate between flight and dives.

The inventor of the jetpack is unknown to us. But we really appreciate the concept of combining the features of a racing motorbike and a jet ski into one to give the riders an exciting experience on and in the water.
