The Musandam Dibba Tour is a full day trip from Dubai into Oman's Musandam region, often nicknamed the Norway of the Middle East for its fjord-like coastline and the Hajar Mountains. The day combines a scenic drive, a dhow cruise, and lunch.

Drive to Dibba and the border crossing

You can book this with private transfers, on a shared basis, or without transfers if you prefer to make your own way there. Where a transfer is included in your chosen option, you are collected from your Dubai hotel or residence for the drive to Dibba, passing through Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah before crossing into Oman. Our team handles the visa and border crossing paperwork needed to enter Musandam, so you only need your original passport and, if you are a UAE resident, your Emirates ID. The road itself is part of the day, with the scenery shifting from the UAE's coastal emirates to the rugged Hajar Mountains as you near the border.

Dhow cruise along the fjords

At Dibba harbour, you board a traditional Omani dhow finished in Bedouin-style decor for a cruise along the fjord-like coastline, with the Hajar Mountains rising on either side. There is a chance of spotting dolphins along the way. A banana boat ride adds a faster stretch to the otherwise gentle sail.

Lunch and water activities

A continental buffet lunch is served onboard, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. If you want to get into the water, bring your own swimwear, and fishing gear if you plan to fish, for a swim or a snorkel in the clear waters around the boat, with the mountains framing the view on every side.

Rayna's team manages the border crossing and the cruise as one booking, along with the transfer where your option includes it, so the whole day runs as a single trip and you are back in Dubai by evening, with one point of contact if anything about the plan needs to change.

For a different yet equally captivating experience, you can also enjoy the charm of a Dhow Cruise Creek or admire the glittering skyline on a Dhow Cruise Marina. Both cruises promise scenic views, delightful dining, and memorable moments on Dubai’s waters.

Memorable Experience

5/5

One of the memorable experiences so far is being in UAE through its Musandam tours and travels but amazing vehicle condition, great food, and punctuality with every planned activity. worth it with the magnificence blue ocean and cool breeze made my trip amazing. Only the hard time was the Oman border crossing due to its long weekend so you will be back at our home after 15 hours...

Frequently asked questions

It's a full day trip from Dubai into Oman's Musandam region, combining a scenic drive through the Hajar Mountains, a traditional dhow cruise from Dibba harbour, and a buffet lunch onboard. It's built around getting you onto the water rather than just sightseeing by road.
The dhow cruise itself runs for about 5 hours from Dibba harbour. Total time for the day, including the drive to and from Oman and the border crossing, will depend on traffic and processing time at the border, so allow for a full day away from Dubai.
Yes, entry into the Musandam Dibba area requires prior permission. Our team collects your passport and visa details after booking and handles the border formalities, so you do not need to arrange the paperwork yourself.
Processing for entry permission can take up to 3 working days for UAE residents and around 24 hours for tourists, so it's best to book with a few days of lead time rather than at the last minute.
