Dune Buggy Adventure in Dubai is a self-drive buggy session across the desert dunes near Al Aweer, on the outskirts of Dubai, aboard a two-seater Polaris 570 CC buggy built for off-road handling. The session starts around 3:30 pm and covers about 60 minutes of driving time on the sand.

A roundtrip hotel transfer is arranged from centrally located addresses in Deira, Bur Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Marina, and the drive out to the desert near Al Aweer takes roughly 30 to 40 minutes, giving you a first look at the dunes before you arrive at the start point.

The Polaris 570 CC buggy is built for two, with straightforward controls that make it manageable for first-time off-road drivers, and the desert route is planned so that no previous buggy experience is needed to take part.

Safety briefing and gear-up

Before setting off, a member of the on-site crew runs through a safety briefing covering the buggy's controls, hand signals and the terrain ahead. You are fitted with a helmet and safety goggles, and the crew stays close by throughout the session to guide the group and answer questions along the way.

Across the dunes (from around 3:30 pm)

Once you set off, the buggy climbs and drops over the desert's dunes, with a mix of straight runs and sharper turns built into the route. The open cab keeps the desert scenery in view throughout, and the crew leads the group at a pace suited to the terrain and to how confident each driver feels behind the wheel.
