The Lotus Megayacht's New Year's Eve cruise turns the countdown into a night on Dubai Marina's water, with a live DJ, a full buffet dinner and a front-row seat for the fireworks along the Marina skyline.
Boarding opens at 8:00 pm below Pier 7, behind Dubai Marina Mall, and the yacht sails at 9:00 pm for a five-hour cruise that runs until 2:00 am. The two-deck vessel holds more than 500 guests, so there's room to move between decks for different views of the Marina as the night goes on. Carry a valid ID or passport, since it's checked at boarding.
Once underway, a buffet dinner is laid out alongside a spread of canapes and live cooking stations, with the open bar serving a selection of premium drinks through the night. It's built as a proper sit-down and mingle occasion rather than a quick meal, with staff keeping food and drinks topped up as the evening runs its course. Exactly what is included can shift slightly by the option you book, so it's worth checking your chosen package.
As midnight approaches, the live DJ and onboard entertainment build toward the countdown, and the celebration around you includes fireworks over Atlantis The Palm, Burj Al Arab and JBR, weather permitting. The party keeps going well past midnight, with the cruise and its entertainment continuing until the boat returns to Pier 7 in the early hours.

New Years Eve - Avoid

This was a terrible experience, one that you should avoid at all costs. I booked online for me and my family, we were to have contact from RaynaTours on the 30th however this did not happen. I spent an hour on the 31st trying to make contact with the RaynaTours representative by phone as the correspondence showed different times for meeting. This was very stressful for me and my family. We arrived early which was lucky as there was already a large group trying to find out which Dhow they were on and arguing with a representative. We got to the Dhow and were told our names were not on the list, which we eventually overcame as I showed the payment we had made and the emails backing it up. If I had not had these we would not have been on the Dhow. Once on the Dhow though it was clear that other people were having the same issues and also not happy with the seating. Very uncomfortable for my family who felt they could be asked to leave. We were joined by a very nice couple, who had just paid to get on, however the table was cramped and not designed for that number. Due to the arguments the Dhow was 30 minutes late leaving. The food/drink was not as advertised and the entertainer had to be requested by multiple people to stop, as the incessant loud poor English was awful, they did not cater for the guests! My real concern was at midnight when repeated requests were made to people to move away from the front of the Dhow as it was not balanced...this was a real health and safety issue. Apart from the enjoying the conversation at our table and the fireworks, this was a horrible experience. Avoid at all costs!

New Year's eve dhow cruise

we had booked a dhow cruise with Rayna tours which was a drive from Dubai Marina costing 750 per head..this was honestly a horrible experience..after saying we'll move from the area at 9:30..we moved from the dock at quarter to 11...and they said it would be a hour drive but they dropped us bac by one...the staff looked so confused and the overall experience was boring..the food was also limited and we were served very limited amount of apitizers.. so much for a five star spread of food..most of it was bland and horrible food..and the host tried his best to put up a good show...but again not great. and the highlight that should have been the fireworks could hardly be seen from the lower deck and some us were'nt even allowed to enjoy the fireworks from the top when they allowed some people to do so.. and the glass covering and loud music was disturbing..there was so much glare that the view was horrible,...we were also given a cheap cake...such substandard food wasn't expected..really disappointed at the service and overall experience..was not a good new years eve..ever booking with rayna again :(
