Scuba Diving Gili Islands

Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory dive experience run from a PADI 5 star dive center on Gili Trawangan, one of the Gili Islands off Lombok. It is designed for people who have never dived before and includes a safety briefing, a shallow water practice session and one open water dive.

Your day starts on land, where a PADI certified instructor walks you through the basics of scuba diving, including how to communicate underwater, use your gear and follow safety procedures. Once you and the instructor are comfortable, you move into shallow water to practice breathing through the regulator and getting used to the equipment before swimming out further. On the open water dive itself, you can expect to see the marine life the Gili Islands are known for, including colourful reef fish, coral gardens and, with luck, sea turtles. All diving equipment, including your mask, fins, tank and wetsuit, is provided, and your instructor stays with you throughout the dive.

Depending on the dive center, you may also have access to a shower and towel service once you are back on land. Rayna's local team handles your booking, so you have a point of contact in Bali if you need help before or after your dive.
