Phi Phi Island on SpeedBoat Tour

This full-day guided speedboat tour takes you from Phuket to the Phi Phi Islands, roughly 80 minutes away by boat. Over the course of the day you cruise past several of the archipelago's best-known bays, cliffs and lagoons, with time to swim, snorkel and enjoy lunch on the islands.

Hotel pickup and the crossing to Phi Phi

A roundtrip hotel transfer takes you to the pier, where you board the speedboat and set off across open water toward the islands. Salt spray and open sea views mark the crossing before the boat slows on approach to Phi Phi Don, the largest island in the group and the starting point for the rest of the day's route.

Monkey Bay, Nui Bay and Viking Cave

At Monkey Bay, an isolated cove tucked beneath the cliffs, long-tailed macaques move along the rocks and shoreline as the boat idles offshore. The route continues to Nui Bay, known for its clear water and coral gardens, then to Viking Cave on Phi Phi Ley's east coast, where old wall drawings and the birds' nests once prized in Chinese cuisine are visible from the water.

Piley Lagoon and Maya Bay

From Viking Cave, the boat passes Piley Lagoon, its emerald water enclosed almost completely by towering limestone cliffs, before reaching Maya Bay, the beach that appeared in the 2000 film The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Both stops rank among the most photographed spots in the Phi Phi archipelago, and the boat pauses long enough to take in the scenery from the water.

Back on Phi Phi Don, there is time to swim, snorkel and sunbathe in the clear shallows before sitting down to a Thai buffet lunch, served with seasonal fruit and soft drinks, at an island hotel restaurant overlooking the bay.

3. Download the voucher and present it at the venue.

• Carry a valid photo ID or passport, and show it at the entrance.
• Your booking confirmation is valid only for the selected date and time.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted inside the transfer vehicle.
• Guests who do not use the included transfer must arrange their own transport to the harbour.
• Pickup times on the voucher are approximate; be at your hotel lobby at least 5 minutes early, and allow for a window of up to 60 minutes due to traffic and route planning.
• National park fees are mandatory and not included in the base tour; prebook the option with NPF or pay locally.
• Recommended attire for the island stops is shorts or a light T-shirt that can get wet, with slippers; bring swimwear, a towel, sunblock, a hat, sunglasses and a camera.
• The tour is not wheelchair accessible, and participation can be declined for guests considered high risk.
• Outside food and drinks may not be permitted on site, and entry can be refused for non-compliance with venue rules.
