James Bond Island Speedboat Tour

This speedboat day tour cruises through Ao Phang-Nga National Marine Park, a 400-square-kilometre marine reserve of more than 40 islands off Phuket, taking in limestone cliffs, isolated caves and mangrove forests as it visits Phang Nga Bay, Koh Hong, James Bond Island, Koh Panyi and Naka Island.

A roundtrip hotel transfer collects you from your Phuket hotel and brings you to the pier at Phang Nga Bay, where you board the speedboat, settle into your seat and set off across the bay's calm waters, passing forested limestone islands as the cruise begins.

Koh Hong's hidden lagoon

Refreshments and snacks are served onboard as the boat passes mangrove forests on the way to Koh Hong, a crescent-shaped island known for its white sand beaches, shallow coral reefs and clear turquoise water. A kayak or canoe takes you through a narrow passage into the island's hidden lagoon, a pocket of still water enclosed by limestone cliffs that opens up once you paddle inside.

James Bond Island and Koh Panyi

The tour continues to Khao Phing Kan, known worldwide as James Bond Island since it featured in the 1974 film The Man with the Golden Gun, where the Ko Tapu limestone tower rises just offshore. From here, the boat heads to Koh Panyi, a fishing village built entirely on stilts over the sea, where a traditional Thai lunch is served with views of the stilt houses and the limestone cliffs that ring the bay.

Naka Island and the return cruise

The last stop is Naka Island, where you have free time to swim, sunbathe and relax on the beach before the boat cruises back toward the pier, passing the same limestone scenery you saw earlier in the day.

• Carry a valid photo ID or passport with you throughout the tour, ready to show at the pickup point.
• Your booking confirmation is valid only for the date and time selected.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the tour.
• Present your voucher, printed or on your phone, at the pickup point.
• Hotel transfer is available from centrally located hotels in Phuket, such as Kata, Karon and Patong; eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed inside the transfer vehicle.
• Be at your pickup point or hotel lobby at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Pickup times are approximate, waiting time can run 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic, and transfer timings may shift by 30 to 60 minutes for the same reason.
• If you miss your scheduled transfer, you will need to arrange your own transport to the tour.
• Free cancellation is available up to 72 hours before the tour; cancellations after that window, or no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.

• For island tours, wear shorts and a light T-shirt that can get wet, with slippers, and carry swimwear, a beach towel, sunblock, a hat, sunglasses and a camera with spare batteries.
• This tour is not recommended for seniors above 70, pregnant women, children under 1 year, or guests with high blood pressure, heart disease or physical disabilities, and the operator can decline participation for high-risk guests. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
• Outside food and beverages may not be allowed at park premises, and the venue can refuse entry for non-compliance with its rules.
