James Bond Island on Speed Boat

The James Bond Island tour by speedboat is a full day trip across the Phang Nga Bay area, running from about 7 am to 5 pm. It covers the limestone islands made famous by the James Bond film and several natural landmarks around the bay.

A roundtrip hotel transfer is included, picking you up in the morning and returning you to your hotel once the day's activities are finished. Once you reach the pier, you board your boat for the crossing into Phang Nga Bay.

The tour's first stop is Wat Suwan Kuha, known as the Monkey Cave Temple, where reclining Buddha images rest inside a limestone cavern shared with a resident troop of monkeys. From there, you continue toward Ko Tapu, the tall needle-shaped rock that appeared in the 1974 film 'The Man with the Golden Gun,' along with the connected limestone karsts that make up James Bond Island itself.

Along the way, the route passes through Ao Phang Nga National Park, where limestone islands rise straight out of emerald green water on every side. Around forty islands are scattered across the bay, and the boat weaves between them so you can take in the scale of the landscape from close up.

A stop at Koh Panyee follows, a fishing village built entirely on stilts over the water, where a buffet lunch is served with the karsts and open sea as your backdrop. Later in the day, the boat calls at Raman Waterfall Forest Park, where you can wade into cool, clear pools, get splashed under the falls, or simply cool your feet before rejoining the boat.
