Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi is the largest natural history museum in the Middle East, tracing 13.8 billion years of natural history from the Big Bang to the age of dinosaurs. The museum sits within a Mecanoo-designed waterfront building in the Saadiyat Cultural District, close to Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi.

Inside, three prehistoric specimens anchor the collection: Stan the T. rex, a 25-metre female blue whale, and the Murchison Meteorite. Displays trace the formation of the universe and the rise of planets before moving into the age of dinosaurs, while galleries on the Arabian Peninsula's ancient landscapes feature finds such as the four-tusked Stegotetrabelodon emiratus, an extinct ancestor of modern elephants. Interactive galleries, high-tech labs, and a theatre experience add further depth to the walk through Earth's natural history.
