Qasr Al Watan is the ceremonial palace at the heart of Abu Dhabi's Presidential Palace complex, its name translating as Palace of the Nation. The granite and limestone building carries more than 5,000 geometric patterns and doors crafted in 23-carat gold, and its Great Hall holds a central dome larger than that of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Inside, the Great Hall's mirrored cubes, curved glass panels and marble work show off Emirati craftsmanship at its most detailed. The Presidential Gifts hall displays gifts the UAE has received from other nations, while the House of Knowledge houses the Power of Words, a calligraphic sculpture depicting founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Presidential Banquet hall shows how the country receives its state guests, and the palace library holds works on Arabian history and culture. Outside, courtyards, fountains and archways lead through gardens landscaped around the palace, with lawns that offer some of the best views of the building itself.

Qasr Al Watan sits alongside other Culture and Attractions Abu Dhabi sites, and Rayna's local team handles your ticket booking and support from purchase through to your visit.
