Penang Bird Park is a five-acre sanctuary in Perai, built to resemble the birds' natural habitat and home to more than 3000 birds across over 300 species. There is no fixed visit length: you can move through the ponds, gardens, and free-flying zones at your own pace, taking in the orchids and hibiscus planted throughout the grounds.

Storks, flamingos, pelicans, swans, and ducks share the ponds, while free-flying zones let toucans, peacocks, and other species roam close to visitors. Buy a small bucket of bird seed and many birds will come right up to you, sitting on your hands and shoulders while you take photos. The park also runs bird shows in which owls, parrots, and other trained birds perform tricks, along with feeding sessions, and you may spot mouse deer and reptiles elsewhere on the grounds.

Rayna's local team in Penang handles your booking and stays reachable if you need help before your visit.
