Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm is a butterfly and insect sanctuary in Teluk Bahang, on Penang's northern coast, where more than 15,000 free-flying butterflies live across 8 acres of forest garden, ponds, waterfalls, and caves.

Walk through gardens planted with more than 200 species of flora bred to attract specific butterfly species, and look for rarer varieties such as the Blue Morpho alongside more common ones as they move freely through the planted forest. The Cocoon building holds interactive zones across two floors, including Lumino City, Metamorphosis, Underground Mysteries, and Pandora Forest, and reptiles and invertebrates such as iguanas and scorpions share the grounds alongside the butterfly displays. Daily programmes add another layer to the visit: Nature Talks cover the farm's conservation work, Bug Exploration brings you closer to the smaller residents, and Vita Nova, the release of newly bred butterflies into the gardens, lets you see the collection grow.

• Each ticket holder must present proof of identity and age at the admission turnstile.

• Entopia is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with last admission at 5 pm.
