The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is the largest aquarium in the Middle East, located in the Al Qana district of Abu Dhabi. Spanning 9,000 square metres, it is home to more than 46,000 marine animals across 300 or more species, and a visit can easily fill a few hours.

Inside, themed zones take you through marine ecosystems from around the world, from UAE's Natural Treasures and the Red Sea Wreck to the Atlantic Cave, Frozen Ocean and Bu Tinah Island. Along the way, you come face to face with more than 200 sharks and rays, alongside jellyfish, sea dragons, zebra sharks, hammerhead sharks and other tropical fish, as well as corals, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles. Depending on your ticket choice, you can add interactive experiences such as Beyond the Glass, which takes you across a glass bridge over the tanks, the Bu Tinah Dhow experience, and fish feeding sessions.

A Hidden Gem in Abu Dhabi

The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is impressive. It features an astounding diversity of marine life and offers a fantastic chance to witness the natural formation of pearls. The variety of species you will see in each of its zones will mesmerize you. I loved the Flooded Forest themed zone, which was captivating and an immersive experience.

Awestruck!

The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi was better than I had anticipated. The displays are thoughtfully laid out to make for simple navigation. I was in awe seeing the intelligence and agility of dolphins. It was wonderful to stingrays, sea turtles, Eagle Rays, hammerhead sharks, and hundreds of marine animals at leisure.

Great to see shark species up close

It was a fantastic experience for me to visit The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi. See a variety of shark species, vibrant coral reefs, and exotic species up close was interesting. I heartily suggest it—it was a serene and pleasant experience.

A Must-Visit for Shark Lovers

If you're a shark enthusiast like me, the National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is a dream come true. It was a spell-binding experience to see a variety of sharks, including hammerheads and zebra sharks up close. The Black Sea Devil and Super Snake were pleasant surprise. There are 10 themed zones in the Aquarium, and all offer an immersive experience.
