Day 1
Arrival at NJP/Bagdogra, transfer to Gangtok, Leisure evening at MG Marg
Kick off your Himalayan getaway with a professional meet-and-greet at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Enjoy a smooth, scenic transfer to your accommodation in Gangtok, where you’ll check in and spend the rest of the day exploring the attractions nearby, or simply absorbing the cool mountain air and relaxing in your room.
Day 2
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Optional: Nathula Pass with permit)
Prepare to admire some of Sikkim’s high-altitude gems as a guided tour leads you through dramatic mountain roads to tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake located at over 12,400 Feet in an unparalleled mountainous setting. You’ll also stop at the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, which is steeped in legends. For an added thrill and excitement, you can make an optional visit to Nathulapass (inclusive of permit), the Indo-China border perched at over 14,000 Feet surrounded by the most stunning views. It makes an extraordinary addition to your Himalayan adventure.
Day 3
Drive to Pelling; Enroute visit Namchi to visit Siddheshwar Dham and Sai Temple
Today, you’ll travel to Pelling on an incredible five-hour drive through windy mountain routes, scenic valleys, and quaint countryside. Along the way, pause at namchi, one of the region’s most spiritually significant attractions. Visit the venerated Siddheshwar Dham (chardham), a complex with an enormous statue of Lord Shiva as well as replicas of India’s revered Char Dham temples. You’ll also tour the Sai Temple to absorb its tranquil settings and marvelous architecture.
Finally, upon arrival, check into your room and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 4
Full-day Pelling Sightseeing
Reserve the entire day to take in Pelling’s top claims to fame. Start your exploration at Darap Village, a peaceful retreat showcasing the Limboo community’s bona fide culture and lifestyle. Prepare for the most spectacular experiences as you next stop at the charming rimbi Waterfalls, the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, also popular as the “Wish-Fulfilling Lake,” and the magnificent Khangchendzonga Waterfalls.
The second part of the day leads you to the age-old pemayangtse Monastery and the evocative rabdentse Ruins set against the panoramic Himalayan views. You can also take to the Sang-ngag Choling Skywalk for the most striking views, featuring a glass pathway and massive statue. Before the tour ends, you’ll also tour the New Helipad Ground, where you can soak in the views of the mighty Kanchenjunga range.
Day 5
Drive to Darjeeling; En route Scenic Tea Gardens & Evening at Mall Road
After hotel check-out, you’ll venture to Darjeeling on a four-hour drive filled with stunning Himalayan scenery. Enjoy views of sprawling tea gardens as the ride takes you through winding mountain roads. Once you arrive, settle into your room and later head to Mall Road for a laid-back stroll or shop for some unique souvenirs and craft items.
Day 6
Tiger Hill Sunrise, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoo & Tea Garden
Be ready for a pre-dawn adventure as you embark on an exciting trip to Tiger Hill to catch one of the world’s most magical sunrise views, lighting up the snow - blanketed peaks of Kanchenjunga. On your return trip, visit the quaint ghoom Monastery, which enshrines a majestic statue of Maitreya Buddha, and the iconic Batasia Loop to take in the toy train designed around a painstakingly manicured garden. More attractions await you as you tour the lush Tea Garden, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Darjeeling Zoo with rare inhabitants like the red panda.
Day 7
Transfer to NJP/Bagdogra
On your final day, savor a fulfilling breakfast and then check out of the hotel. Your professional driver will transfer you back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport on a scenic, stress-free drive.
