This full-day guided tour takes you from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain, a city known for its gardens, historic sites and a laid-back pace compared to the coast. A Rayna Tours guide leads the day, moving between museums, a market and a mountain drive rather than leaving you to explore on your own.

Al Ain Museum and Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum

The first stop is Al Ain Museum, next to the old fortress, where the exhibits trace the region's history back through the Iron Age and Bronze Age with gold pendants, coin collections and a restored tomb from the Hili Archaeological Park, alongside a section on traditional local life. From there the tour moves to Al Ain Palace Museum, also known as Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum, once the residence of the UAE's first president, Sheikh Zayed.

Camel Souk and Jebel Hafeet

Next comes the Camel Souk, the country's largest livestock market, where camels, goats and sheep are traded and bargaining is part of the everyday scene. The tour then heads to the hot springs at the base of Jebel Hafeet before driving up the mountain itself, a peak of around 1,220 metres that sits on the border with Oman and gives wide views over Al Ain and the surrounding desert.

Lunch can be added at the time of booking, and the day also includes a stop at Al Ain Mall before the long drive back to your hotel or accommodation in Abu Dhabi. For more of the capital's own sights, the day pairs well with Rayna Tours' Abu Dhabi city tour or its Qasr Al Watan tour, and can be extended further with a visit to Ferrari World or Yas Waterworld.

  • A full-day guided tour through Al Ain, one of the UAE's greenest and most distinctive cities.
  • Roundtrip transfer between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is arranged as part of the tour.
  • Visit Al Ain Museum, Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum and the Camel Souk in a single day.
  • Relax at the hot springs and drive up Jebel Hafeet, the UAE's second-tallest mountain, for wide desert views.
  • Pairs well with the Abu Dhabi city tour, Qasr Al Watan tour, Ferrari World or Yas Waterworld.

Unforgettable

5/5

Special Trip: Al-Afin: It was a great day with many unforgettable experiences. We were picked up very punctually at our hotel, then there was the first stop at Salt Lake, where Ikram took very good photos. Then we went on to Al Ain to the oasis and the zoo. We had the possibility to inform Ikram at any time if we wanted to be picked up. The restaurant recommendation was also a hit. We enjoyed our lunch together very much. Then we went on to a pool for ladies only (Hot stream Pool Ladies) where we enjoyed a very hot bath including a massage. Afterwards we went by Land Cruiser to the top of Jabel Hafeet. From there we had an incredible view of the land and the setting sun. From there we went back to Abu Dhabi. Ikram is a very good driver who also gave us very good information about the individual excursion destinations. Cold drinks were also in the car. All in all, a successful day in Al Afin. Many thanks to Ikram.
