This full-day group tour travels from Tbilisi to two of western Georgia's best known natural sites, Martvili Canyon and Prometheus Cave, in an outing that runs about 14 hours from pickup to drop-off, with an English-speaking guide accompanying the group throughout.

Morning drive to Kutaisi

The day starts with an early morning departure from Tbilisi. The drive heads west toward Kutaisi, where the group gathers before continuing on to Martvili Canyon, with time built into the schedule for photo stops along the way.

Boat ride through Martvili Canyon

At Martvili Canyon, a boat ride carries you along the river between steep, forested walls and past a series of waterfalls, with the water taking on shades of green and turquoise depending on the light. Wooden walkways let you walk out over parts of the falls and look back down the canyon before you rejoin the group.

Lunch stop at Sweet Village

From the canyon, the group stops for lunch at Sweet Village, a restaurant known locally for traditional Georgian cooking such as khachapuri and regional stews. Food and drinks at this stop are at your own cost.

Prometheus Cave and the Hall of Love

The tour continues to Prometheus Cave, an illuminated underground system of chambers carved over tens of millions of years and lined with stalactites and stalagmites, including a chamber known as the Hall of Love for its softer lighting and stone formations. An underground boat ride through part of the cave is available on-site for those who want to extend the visit, and the cave stays a cool, constant temperature year round.

The day ends with the drive back through Kutaisi to Tbilisi, arriving in the evening after a long but varied day of nature, food and Georgian history. Rayna's local team arranges the group transfer and guide for this tour and stays reachable if anything about your booking needs attention before or after the trip.
