National Gallery Singapore occupies two national monuments, the former City Hall and the former Supreme Court, restored and connected to form a single gallery spanning 64,000 square metres. It reopened in its current form in 2015 and focuses on Southeast Asian and Singapore art from the 19th century onward.
The gallery holds more than 8,000 artworks drawn from across the region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand, displayed across permanent and special exhibitions. Walking between the two buildings, you move from City Hall's grand civic halls into the former Supreme Court's courtrooms, now repurposed as gallery space. Several vantage points inside the gallery offer views over the surrounding civic district skyline. Some special exhibitions require an additional ticket or a timed entry slot, alongside the general admission covered by this ticket.
Rayna's Singapore team handles your ticket booking and is on hand for any questions before your visit, from a quick look at the permanent galleries to a longer visit through the special exhibitions.
