The canter safari is the shared, open-air way to see Ranthambore National Park. A canter is a vehicle that resembles a mini bus without a roof, and you ride it with other nature enthusiasts while the driver follows the park's safari routes for a drive of around three hours.

Ranthambore's landscapes keep changing as you go, from rocky hills and dense deciduous forests to calm lakes and open meadows, and the canter's open sides keep your views clear in every direction. Ranthambore is most famous as a tiger reserve and has a large population of Bengal tigers, so every drive carries the possibility of a sighting, though none is ever guaranteed. Along the routes you also have chances of seeing leopards, monkeys, deer, wild boars, sloth bears and crocodiles living in their natural habitat, and part of the appeal of a shared safari is watching for them alongside other travellers.

1. Shortly after completing your booking, you will receive your tour confirmation voucher by email.

3. Download the voucher and present it, printed or on your phone, at the venue.

• Be ready 15 minutes before your reporting time; resort to safari gate pickup and drop can add 30 to 40 minutes before and after the safari, depending on the distance between your resort and the gate.
• A local team member will coordinate with you one day before the safari.
• Once a safari booking is made, no changes are possible, and the booking is non-cancellable and non-refundable.
• Carry hard copies of the same IDs you shared while booking the safari; a valid government-issued photo ID or passport is mandatory for entry.
• Your booking voucher must be presented, printed or digital, at the venue.
• Seat allocation is subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
