The Bird Watching and Nature Walk shows you a different side of Ranthambore. Tigers are the stars here, but the area is also home to a wide variety of bird species, and this guided walk of around one and a half to two hours slows everything down so you can actually notice them. Your expert guide picks you up from your resort, walks with you, and drops you back at the resort when the session ends.

The walk begins right from your hotel or resort, with the guide leading you to designated places around Ranthambore National Park. Along the way you look out for owls, flycatchers, kingfishers, parakeets, eagles, storks and several other migratory and local birds. A pair of binoculars is worth bringing for a closer look at whatever the guide points out.

Birds are only part of the picture. Your guide also introduces the flora of the area, from native plants and trees to the insects and animals that depend on them, and explains how each piece helps balance the wider ecosystem. It turns a simple walk into a readable map of how the region's nature fits together.

Quiet and peaceful, the walk is a complete change of pace from the safari, and it suits nature lovers, bird watchers and nature and wildlife photographers in particular. Rayna's team arranges the walk and stays reachable through the details on your booking voucher if you have questions before or after the session.
