Phuket Bird Park is a bird sanctuary in Chalong, on the outskirts of Phuket, with landscaped aviaries and gardens holding a wide variety of tropical and exotic bird species. It makes for a relaxed stop for families and nature enthusiasts visiting the island, open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

Inside the park, you can walk between the aviaries to see parrots, macaws, hornbills, cockatoos and owls up close, then take a seat for the live bird show, where trained birds demonstrate flying tricks and other performances. Paths wind through tropical gardens between the show area and the aviaries, giving plenty of chances to take photographs of the birds and the greenery along the way. Camera flash is not permitted near the birds, so keep this in mind when photographing them up close.
