Overview

This safari begins with arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing boat ride and lakeside stay. The journey then continues to Maasai Mara National Reserve for exciting game drives and a full day safari to spot Africa’s iconic wildlife. The trip concludes in Nairobi with a visit to the Giraffe Centre before departure.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at JKIA – Transfer to Lake Naivasha

(Approx. 2 to 2.5 hrs drive)

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you’ll be met by your friendly driver-guide who will warmly welcome you to Kenya. After a short briefing, you’ll begin your journey out of Nairobi, heading northwest towards the lush and tranquil Lake Naivasha.

This scenic drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley, offering breathtaking views and perhaps a chance to stop for photos en route. Upon arrival at your lakeside lodge, you’ll enjoy a hot lunch and have some time to settle in. 🌿

In the afternoon, set out on a peaceful boat ride across Lake Naivasha’s calm waters. You’ll glide past groups of hippos, watch African fish eagles swoop down for their prey, and observe wildlife like giraffes and waterbucks grazing along the shoreline. 🚤

After the excursion, return to your lodge for dinner and your first overnight stay in the serene Rift Valley. 🌅🛏️

Day 2

Naivasha to Maasai Mara – Into the Wild

(Approx. 4.5 to 5.5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and begin your drive south to the iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. ⛰️

The journey takes you through rural countryside and expansive plains. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at your lodge or tented camp with a warm welcome and a hot lunch to refuel before your afternoon adventure. 🍛🌾

Later in the day, head out on your first game drive in the Mara. This is your chance to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and more. The Mara's landscapes are a photographer’s dream, especially as the golden light of late afternoon sets the plains aglow. 🌄

Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the wild. As night falls, you may hear distant animal calls—a reminder that you're truly in the African wilderness. 🌙🔥

Day 3

Full Day Game Drive in the Maasai Mara

Today offers an immersive safari experience. After an early breakfast, you’ll set off for a full-day game drive with your packed lunch for a picnic in the bush. 🥪🌳

With the help of your expert guide, you’ll cover more ground and increase your chances of witnessing wildlife interactions—from a cheetah stalking prey to a hippo bathing in the river, or even a pride of lions resting under a tree. 🐆🦁🐊

You’ll explore different parts of the Mara, perhaps following the river or heading toward the escarpment for breathtaking views and unique ecosystems. Whether it’s big cats, elephants, hyenas, or birds of prey, there’s always something to see.

Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and your final overnight in the Mara. The night is perfect for stargazing or relaxing by the fire with a drink in hand. ✨🍷

Day 4

Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Urban Meets Wildlife

(Approx. 5.5 to 6.5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, ascending once more through the Rift Valley and into the capital.

Upon arrival in Nairobi in the early afternoon, you’ll visit the famous Giraffe Centre, where you can get up close with the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Feed them, learn about conservation efforts, and maybe even get a giraffe kiss! 🦒💋

Lunch and dinner today are at your own cost, giving you the chance to explore Nairobi’s vibrant food scene. Whether you're in the mood for traditional Kenyan cuisine or international flavors, the city has excellent dining options. 🍽️🌆

Later in the evening, check in to your hotel for your final overnight stay in Nairobi, winding down after days of adventure. 🛏️🌃

Day 5

Nairobi – Transfer to JKIA for Departure

(Approx. 30–45 mins drive)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Your driver will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your flight back home.

Please restrict baggage per person to 15 kilos if you are taking a domestic flight and 20 kilos if you are doing a road safari. Soft bags are preferable
Plastic bags are illegal in Kenya as we are on a positive effort to reduce the impact of plastics on our environment. The ban applies to:
Carrier bags with handles & with or without gussets.
Flat bags without handles & without gussets.

Please take note that if you are travelling to Kenya, plastic bags that match the above description, including duty free bags, will be confiscated at the airport. There is however a bigger risk that if anyone is caught using these plastic bags, the fine is Ksh. 4, 000, 000 (approximately USD 38 000) or prison sentences of up to four years.

Single use plastic is not allowed in the Kenyan protected areas. Kindly bring along your refillable water bottles.

- Rooms and rates are subject to availability at the time of booking. Flight and hotel fares may change at any point in time. Your earliest confirmation is highly appreciated.
- Hotel check-in time is 14:00 hrs. and check-out time is 12:00 hrs. In the case of an early arrival before the check-in time, rooms must be booked from the previous night with corresponding charges to guarantee early check-in. Late checkout is subject to availability.

- As a travel company, we are not responsible for any changes or cancellations in flights made by the airlines.
- Cancellations due to any natural calamity a pandemic or any natural calamity leading to Force Majeure or lockdown in the destination resulting in flight or hotel cancellation will be subject to refund policies of the airline, hotel, etc. We will strive to obtain a maximum refund.

Payment Terms

Total amount of the flight & hotel cost is required at the time of booking.
The balance payment must be made 25 days prior to the departure failing which the services may be released.
