Langkawi Wildlife Park is Asia's first fully covered wildlife park, home to more than 150 species of animals, reptiles and birds. Because the whole park is under cover, it makes a reliable option regardless of the weather outside, and its interactive layout lets you step closer to the animals than a typical zoo would allow.

Walk through enclosures holding turtles, raccoons, deer, wallabies, porcupines, horses, crocodiles and hedgehogs, with scheduled feeding sessions where you can feed some of the animals directly. The reptile section covers pythons, green iguanas and red-tail boas, while the aviary is home to birds including blue and gold macaws, Brahminy kites, pelicans, ostriches, swans and Mandarin ducks. Shaded walkways connect the enclosures through landscaped gardens, so the walk between sections is part of the visit rather than just a way to get around.

Between the animal encounters, the aviary and the gardens, this works well as a half-day stop for animal lovers and families with young children.
