Safety briefing and instructions
An English-speaking instructor runs through the controls, hand signals used out on the water, and what to do if you or a passenger falls off. A life jacket is provided and worn for the full session. Once the crew is satisfied you understand the basics, you head out to a designated riding area marked off from other beach traffic.

On the water
Inside the designated area you are free to open up the throttle, turn tight circles or simply cruise along the shoreline. You can ride solo or with a friend, and there is enough space in the marked zone to pick up real speed if that is what you are after. The jet skis themselves are described as powerful but easy to handle, so the learning curve is short even if you have never ridden one before.

Cenang Beach's own scenery is part of the draw. From the water, the coastline of jade blue water against white sand gives a different perspective than you get from the beach itself, with the hills of Langkawi's interior forming a green backdrop and other islands visible further out over the Andaman Sea.
