Langkawi Underwater World sits on Cenang Beach and is one of Malaysia's largest aquariums, holding more than 4,000 marine animals across over 100 tanks and habitats spread over 6 acres. The centerpiece is a 15 metre acrylic tunnel that puts turtles, sharks, stingrays and moray eels within close view as they glide overhead.

Start in the tunnel, then work through halls of coral reef fish, groupers and rays on the way to Seal Rock and Penguin Cove, usually the biggest draw for children. Scheduled feeding shows run through the day: rays glide through shallow water at the ray-feeding arena, and the tunnel tank feeding show gathers a crowd as the larger predatory fish are fed in full view of visitors.

The mix of marine life on show and the hands-off animal encounters make this a straightforward stop for families with young children. Tickets booked through Rayna Tours come with support from a local team if anything about your visit needs sorting out.
