Zoo Negara

Zoo Negara is an open-air zoo in Ulu Klang, Selangor, spread across 110 acres and home to more than 5,000 animals from 476 species. Animals live in large open enclosures rather than cages, giving them room to roam.

Walking through the grounds brings you close to mammals, birds, reptiles and several endangered species, including tigers, elephants, deer and giraffes. The Giant Panda Conservation Centre is one of the zoo's main draws, where you can watch giant pandas go about their day and learn about the conservation work being done to protect the species from extinction. Beyond the exhibits, the zoo also offers hands-on moments such as animal feeding sessions and tram rides around the grounds, giving younger visitors plenty to do between exhibits.
