Into the leopard reserve

Jhalana is primarily a leopard reserve with a large population of the cats, and the source of its reputation as one of India's most renowned leopard habitats. The guided drive gives you the chance to spot leopards moving through their natural habitat, and the park's other residents keep the drive interesting between sightings: desert foxes, peacocks, nilgai, striped hyenas, spotted deer, sambar deer, jackals, desert cats, jungle rats, mongooses and monitor lizards all live here.

A shared safari

Seats are in a shared safari jeep, so you explore the park with other visitors on the same drive. The entry permit and guide charges are included, and the guide helps you read the terrain and pick out animals you would otherwise drive straight past.

Pickup and timing

Pickup and drop-off from your Jaipur hotel or resort are included, with some resorts excepted, and the same vehicle that brings you to the park returns you afterwards. A local team member coordinates with you one day before the safari to confirm the details. Report 15 minutes before your reporting time, and allow an extra 30 to 40 minutes each way for the resort-to-gate transfer depending on the distance.

1. Shortly after booking, your tour confirmation voucher arrives by email.
2. Check your spam or junk folder, or notify the online support team if it does not appear in your inbox.
3. Download the voucher and present it at the venue.

• Once the safari booking is done, it is non-cancellable and non-refundable, and no changes can be made to the safari.
• Listed operating hours are 5:30 to 8:00 and 5:00 to 7:30.
• Report 15 minutes before your reporting time.
• Allow an additional 30 to 40 minutes before and after the safari for the resort-to-gate pickup and drop-off, depending on the distance from your resort to the safari gate.
• Pickup and drop-off between your resort and the safari gate are included, except for certain resorts; confirm yours at booking.
• A local team member will coordinate with you one day before the safari.
• Carry hard copies of the same IDs you shared while booking the safari.
• A valid government-issued photo ID or passport is mandatory for entry.
• All bookings are subject to availability and final reconfirmation; time slots are guaranteed once confirmed within 24 hours.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times; children requiring a separate seat are charged as per applicable rates.
• Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted in the vehicles or during the safari.
• Late arrival, missed pickups or no-shows are treated as cancellations with no refund; guests who miss the pickup must arrange their own transportation.
