Hue City tour

The Hue City Tour takes you into Vietnam's former imperial capital for a full day of royal history, spirituality and river scenery, visiting the Nguyen Dynasty's palaces, pagodas and tombs along the Perfume River.

A tourist car and an English-speaking guide travel with you for the full day, and the itinerary includes entrance tickets to each stop along with a bottle of water and a meal as set out in the program, so the practical side of the day is largely taken care of.

Hue Imperial City

At Hue Imperial City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as the political and cultural centre of the Nguyen Dynasty, you walk through ancient gates, royal palaces, temples and preserved courtyards while your guide explains the lives of Vietnam's emperors and the history behind the citadel. The scale of the complex gives a sense of how the imperial court once lived, worked and governed from this one site.

Thien Mu Pagoda and the Perfume River

The tour continues to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue's most important religious sites, set on the banks of the Perfume River. You explore its traditional architecture and sacred grounds before travelling on to see the royal tombs of the Nguyen emperors, each known for its own layout, gardens and artistic detail, set among quiet, tree-lined grounds away from the busier parts of the city.

• No refunds, amendments, or cancellations apply to unused, missed, or no-show tours.
• Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before the tour.
• Pickup is arranged from hotels in the Da Nang city center, within an 8 km radius of the Dragon Bridge.
• If transfers are booked then Pickup can be done from following areas : Han River /City Center (Hai Chau)/ My Khe Beach / Son Tra foreshore/ Son Tra Peninsula/ Ngu Hanh Son or Non Nuoc
• Your guide will contact you the night before for morning departures, or the morning of the tour for afternoon departures, to confirm your pickup time.
• Payment for this tour is made after the tour has been completed.
• Vehicle size is matched to the group, for example a 16-seater for up to 14 guests or a 29-seater for up to 25 guests.
