This full day tour from Berlin combines two of the region's most significant historical sites. A guide leads you through the Sachsenhausen Memorial, once a Nazi concentration camp, before the coach continues to Potsdam, the former royal seat just outside the city. The day runs from early morning into the evening.

At Sachsenhausen, your guide explains how the camp operated between 1936 and 1945 and how it also served as a training site for concentration camp staff posted across Germany. In Potsdam, you explore a town that grew from a small Slavic settlement into the residence of Prussian kings, its palaces and landscaped gardens forming the centre of the visit, and you get free time to walk through the town at your own pace before the group reassembles. The return route crosses the Glienicke Bridge, nicknamed the Bridge of Spies for the Cold War prisoner exchanges once carried out there, and passes Checkpoint Bravo, a former Cold War border crossing between East and West Germany.

The day ends with a panoramic drive through central Berlin, taking in the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Holocaust Memorial from the coach. Rayna's local team handles your booking and arrangements and is available for support before and after the tour.
